3. THE CHANGE (2 Corinthians 5:17, 3:18)

11. WITH HOPE (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14; Hebrews 6:9, 10:23)

___ from http://www.scchapman.com/biography.html ___

Chapman was thrust back into the spotlight during his sabbatical by the tragic shooting at his alma mater, Heath High School, in Paducah Kentucky. He made several trips to his hometown to offer emotional support and did a benefit for the victims' families. Tragedy struck again when a close family friend lost a daughter in a traffic accident. Those emotional draining events had a major impact on the writing for the new album.

album: MORE TO THIS LIFE

1. MORE TO THIS LIFE (John 10:10, 6:35-58; Acts 2:28; James 1:2; John 4:5-15; Romans 14:17, 15:13) also in album: GREATEST HITS (2)

____ start of quote at http://www.parable.com/feature/scc/song1.htm ____

I started writing this on the way home from attending a funeral for one of Mary Beth's uncles. The song and album came out of an intense time of wrestling with some monumental questions like "What do I really believe and why?"

5. I WILL BE HERE (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6)

also in album: GREATEST HITS (7)

____ start of quote at http://www.christianityonline.com/mp/7M1/7M1022.html ____

Three years into their marriage, Steven's parents called with the devastating news that they were divorcing. When the Chapman’s saw 28 years of what was once a successful marriage fall apart, they feared they might be walking blindly down the same path.

"We had looked to my parents' marriage as the kind we wanted to have," recalls Steven. "My folks seemed so committed to one another, to us and to the Lord."

____ end of 1st quote, start of 2nd at http://www.parable.com/feature/scc/song1.htm ____

The first of many songs written for my wife, Mary Beth. My parents were going through a divorce at the time, which was one of the most difficult things I had ever experienced, and this song was my way of saying again to Mary Beth, "Till death do us part."

____ end of quotes ____

6. WHO MAKES THE RULES (Romans 12:2; Psalm 119:111-112)

________

Ginny Owens

album: WITHOUT CONDITION

1. BE THOU MY VISION (Genesis 40:8,41:15-16; Daniel 2:10-19,27-28,47)

Songs like this one take on a different meaning when a person is blind. Dean Masters, a blind user of Logos Bible Software, has this quote in his e-mail signature: "I would rather walk in the dark with Jesus than to walk in the light on my own." Wayne Watson

5. IF YOU WANT ME TO (Psalm 23:4)

7. I AM NOTHING (1 Corinthians 13:1-13)

Do you believe this song based on 1 Corinthians 13? If you do, then you can answer why God didn't make us so that we could only do good. You can answer why God created us with needs that allow us to be hungry or thirsty if you really believe that love is that important.
